Search optimization and marketing are not cookie cutter tasks. We bill SEO and SEM work, including consulting, at $100 per hour or at the SEO flat rates listed below. If you want us to tell you in detail what we are going to do or what you should do to improve your website, you will be billed for consulting at our hourly rate. The following are guidelines and estimates to give you an idea of what it might cost to achieve better results for your Internet business.

Remember, results are not free. It will cost you time, money, or both. An average website design that has been properly optimized and marketed beats a flashy, expensive design with no concern for SEO or marketing. Basic SEO

If you have a small niche business that has had no SEO work performed, then we can usually help you with our basic SEO servuce. Basic SEO includes on-page optimization and some relevant links to your site. You can also get some benefit from articles, press releases, and blog post. On-page optimization includes keyword research and title and content editing. We will target keywords and phrases that are known to get some traffic but aren't overly competitive. Even on a small budget we can usually get you some traffic for local and niche terms but keep in mind that site optimization should be a continuous process. Don't be taken by cold calls and SPAM emails, internet marketing that works is not cheap.

If you choose to have search optimization performed by the hour then we want you to be aware that keyword research and data analysis is very time consuming. You can expect it to consume 20%-50% of your budget. As you increase your budget, the research and analysis becomes a lower percentage and your results from implementing changes will be exponential, therefore you can speed up the results by increasing your budget.

Make no mistake; if you are in an industry or market that is the least bit competitive you will probably not succeed without a reasonable monthly budget for search marketing. Everything we do should move you closer to success. Each dollar you spend is an investment toward the goal of increasing traffic and improving your website's position in the search results.

Advanced SEO

Advanced on-page optimization, content creation and optimization, and link building are billed at our flat rates listed below and consulting and additional work are charged at the rate of $100 per hour. We include copy writing as needed. Basic SEO services are always performed first - we work on the foundation first and then build out from there.

Don't let anyone tell you they can make you #1 for a specific price. It doesn't work that way. What is #1 anyway? Our goal is to get you more traffic and conversions on long tail keywords. We don't get lost in the tunnel vision that comes with focusing on a single, highly competitive search phrase. It's fun to watch your search engine position for a few competitive terms, and we do provide those types of reports, but we measure success by increased traffic and conversions.

As your budget increases, so do your results. As always, we believe in building a strong foundation and then adding to it as your time and budget allows. Don't waste money by narrowly targeting a single search term that you might never achieve top results for. Even worse, don't let some spammer or telemarketer sell you a top position guarantee for a worthless phrase. Real SEO work and internet marketing is much more than that.

Social Media

If you need help with social networking, we can help you set up your social networking accounts for an hourly fee. Figure at least three hours for us to help you set up your Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn accounts. This usually includes some time to help you get started using the services. We do not offer anything other than introductory training and account set up.

You must consider if you have the time, resources, and staff to manage these services. It is probably better to ignore social media than to do it completely wrong. If you plan on outsourcing your social media efforts, then we encourage you to do your homework, because you most likely have not. Social media is not a game; it's very time consuming, it can have negative, positive, or no results at all, and it is often difficult to measure the results. Pay-Per-Click

PPC campaigns for Google AdWords and the Microsoft Ad Network are time consuming when done right. We need to spend time researching your industry and evaluating keywords. We have to research your competitors, and then we have to start doing the actual work on the campaigns and ads. We only charge for actual time spent, but you should budget $400 to $600 for a small niche company with a few ad campaigns and less than 250 keywords. The more keywords we target and the more ad groups needed, the more it costs. Landing page costs are not included and we highly recommend that you do not link your ads to your main web page.

In our experience, the money that small business owners waste in the first two to three months of setting up and running their own pay per click campaigns could easily pay for professional help. If you plan on starting your own PPC campaign and you haven't spent at least 3 or 4 hours in the AdWords Online Classroom or similar training, then you will waste a lot of money. Some of the best money you can spend is on conversion optimization. Because the site owner will most likely review your site before linking to it you need to have a well designed and informative site with real products or services. We can not acquire links just to increase the number of links to your site. There should be added value for the linking site and the link should increase traffic to your website regardless of Google or Bing rankings.
