How can I market my company using a blog or social media sites?

You can share ideas and knowledge or expertise in a blog. If it's done properly then you can build a number of links to your blog naturally. You can join social networks and interact with other business owners, potential clients, peers, and family members. Its very much like meeting at a trade show or a chamber of commerce luncheon. First impressions are important so leave your sales pitch at the door. If you are interesting then people will want to know more about you and your services or products. Put your name in front of them but be a friend, not a sales person. Help out, answer questions, give something away for free. You can also create videos but try to entertain, educate, and build awareness of your business, products and services. If its good your work will be shared. A recording of a sales pitch will not get much play time. Remember, you are marketing and the goal is to get your name out there. You Increase your chances of someone coming to you for service because they have met you or have heard of you and it was positive.

What Is Inbound Marketing?

Think of inbound marketing as the opposite of cold calling. It's not phone sales or telemarketing, it's not unsolicited email or postal mail. It's not unsolicited fax messages. That type of marketing, sometimes referred to as outbound marketing has negative energy attached to it. It is easily and often avoided. Inbound marketing is when the potential customer or client comes looking for you. They have heard about your products or services or you and they want more information.
